Malion, Opaliz's bodyguard
Malion is bodyguard to Opaliz, legitimate royalty of the realm. He is proficient at throwing knives and at hand-to-hand combat. A genuinely effective fighter, he nonetheless finds himself quite surprised at Dhiar's approach and is unable to assist him in driving off malevolent magical entities.
He later reunites with Dhiar, Opaliz, and the rest for a happy ending.
